Coffee and Conversation
Today marks the official release day of Josh Ritter’s album "So Runs The World Away." As I mentioned before, I have a copy but that doesn’t mean that I won’t support him by buying the album. So this morning while I was at Starbucks picking up the nectar of life, I noticed that they had it on the counter. So I bought a copy and while I was waiting for my coffee, I was reading the back of the album, and looking at the artwork on the front when a tiny little lady (who looked about my mom’s age) asked me about the album.
"Josh Ritter…is that John Ritter’s son?"
"No, he’s a singer/songwriter from Idaho. He’s really good."
"John Ritter was a songwriter from Idaho? I thought he was an actor."
"John Ritter was an actor, Josh Ritter is a musician."
"They are such a talented family."
"There isn’t any relation between them."
"Oh."
I can’t make this stuff up people. I think I seriously draw in the crazies and the people who ask me the most random questions. In fact, maybe I’ll start a section of this blog dedicated to random questions people ask me during the day. Maybe this is why I feel my calling is to become some sort of child psychologist, because if I can deal with the wee ones crazy I can probably deal with anyones crazy.
I friggin’ love this. it’s your sweet smile and pretty blue eyes. and patience. people can sense the patience in you.
