GLEE!
I’m another one of those people (or whatever weird pop culture reference they are giving the kids these days) who religiously watches GLEE each week. Last night was the long anticipated Madonna episode. My overall impression is that I LOVED it. It was by far my favorite episode of the series. At one point last night I was laughing so hard that I had to run to my bathroom for fear of peeing on my couch.
This show has the best writers EVER. The characters say the best lines…..
Sue: As Madonna once said, I’m tough, I’m ambitious and if that makes me a bitch, that’s what I am. Pretty sure she stole that line from Sue Sylvester. No, really. I said it first.
Kurt: Mercedes is black, I’m gay: We make culture.
Artie: If you’re planning on getting all up on this, you’re gonna have to make some changes.
Brittany: When I pulled my hamstring, I went to a misogynist.
I wish I could say what was my favorite number of the evening was. They were all so good! I did really enjoy watching the Like A Virgin portion – mostly because Matthew Morrison is so smokin’ hot and I was able to watch him tumble around in the sheets. Oy!
This was by far my favorite:
“I grew up with a handi-capable sister. My parents were famous Nazi hunters so they weren’t around a lot. I had to bring her up on my own. I didn’t have a lot of time or money to keep up with all the latest looks but on my 6th birthday True Blue was released an album that would later sell over 30 million copies and my sister and I took it upon ourselves to bleach my hair with whatever chemicals we could find around the house ammonia, napalm. My hair has been so damaged I’ve been forced to wear it short ever since. It’s been a daily ongoing pain.” ~Sue Sylvester
